Fairbanks Seeds has an excellent range of Chinese Cabbage, which include the Syngenta portfolio varieties. These includes hybrid varieties which offer a high uniformity of crop, and also the added benefit of resistance to Club Root. The resistance to Club Root is specifically bread by Syngenta, and referred to as TopRes.

In addition to our Syngenta range of green Chinese cabbage, we are excited to offer a range of red/purple Chinese cabbage. These unique varieties provide a fantastic sources of colour and additional nutritional value to any dish traditionally used for Chinese cabbage.

Chinese cabbage, also known as Wombok and Napa cabbage in the USA, is widely enjoyed in salads, stir-fries and other traditional Asian cuisine dishes. Chinese cabbage is very similar to traditional cabbage; however, it has a savoyed leaf and offers a slightly sweeter taste and a tender, juicy texture, but without the intense brassica flavour. It is often used as a replacement for traditional cabbage.

The nutritional content of Chinese cabbage also differs slightly from cabbage. While both vegetables are low in calories and have a high fibre content, Chinese cabbage contains more potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin C, which can help to boost your immune system.
